Crossroads Community's Respite Program assists children to remain in their own homes by providing relief for their parents or care-givers. A Respite plan is developed for each child to ensure that his or her special needs are met.
We partner with trained foster care providers licensed by local Departments of Social Services to provide overnight respite care for children needing this service. If you are interested in becoming a respite provider, contact the Respite Coordinator at 410-758-3050 ext. 122
Children diagnosed with serious emotional disturbance who are living with a parent, guardian or in a foster home and who meet Maryland's medical necessity criteria are eligible. Respite Care is planned and pre-authorized and is not an emergency service. If authorized, respite may include up to four overnight stays per month.
